My son has recently started taking swimming lessons and although I am not aware of any nifty gadgets I can attach to his goggles and gather his swimming statistics, I did notice that the facility has an external access point.
So far they haven’t opened it up to guests and I haven’t been paying attention to whether or not they have devices in the pool for monitoring and what not. I do see the need for their clients (the parents) to use wifi since most of them don’t seem interested in watching their kids learn how to swim.
I can see the facility creating a guest network to help boost social media activity by having customers upload pictures and videos of their happy children.
Looks like a NEMA enclosure and someone clearly knew what they were doing and this makes me happy for the wireless community. I may investigate further 😉
