I’m going to introduce a new category of posts called Photo Of The Day (POTD). Pictures from my day-to-day work. Nothing that will break any rules but just some interesting things I come across. Usually the photos I post online are more personal but if you’re interested you can follow me on Instagram.
Today is a photo of an AP I had to swap out. It’s a Cisco Aironet 3602E. It’s for a client who does traditional United States type work which is all I can mention. This AP was placed in an area where, obviously, there’s a lot of dust and also a lot of animals.
The reason I had to swap this guy out was because it wouldn’t join the controller. I put in another AP which came up just fine.
Turned out that this particular AP had a corrupt image. Must have been trying to download its image from the controller and the connection might have been interrupted. In the end, I consoled into the AP and deleted the file and rebooted. AP came up after downloading the image from our Cisco WLAN controller.
