Many of blog very often. Many of us don’t have great punctuation either. I’ve added a link to Punctuation Tips which will be very helpful. I learned a thing or two and I’ll have to re-read it again to make the topics stick. Another good link was on the topic of technology skills gap. The IT industry is changing which is causing a big gap between the old school thinking and the new school technology that is quickly gaining traction. Lots of cloud jobs. Not enough programmers, etc. The last two links are just comedy. Hopefully we get a laugh or two out of you.

A much needed refresher from High School English class. In fact, this is a better lesson.
How To Close The Technology Skills Gap by NetworkWorld
Wall Street analysts pleaded with Gerstner to split up the company. But the new CEO ignored those calls and instead met with thousands of IBM employees asking for their advice on how to keep the company whole with these words: “no points for predicting rain, points only earned for building arks.” Gerstner wanted solutions and he got them as he revitalized an American business icon.
What follows are 12 examples of “arks.” That is, extraordinary public/private partnerships aimed at helping the United States bridge the skills gap our nation faces.
You will find 12 examples of “arks” that were created to help build educated workers of the future. An interesting read.
50 Shades of IT from Networkingnerd
Enter mainstream literature. Specifically, the 50 Shades series by E. L. James. It’s been a bit of hit from what I understand. The subject matter is a bit more…mature than the usual paranormal romance or magical coming of age story. It’s about control and domination and other such heady things. I’ve never actually read it myself. But based on the number of people I see on airplanes secreting one of the three volumes under a scarf or blanket, I dare say that many have read it.
I haven’t read the 50 Shades but Tom’s 50 Shades of IT is a hilarious one. I don’t take any responsibility of where your mind wanders off to.
Emails from an Asshole from dontevenreply.com
This is a collection of e-mails I have sent to people who post classified ads. My goal is to mess with them, confuse them, and/or piss them off.
Another comedy site to relieve some stress. Maybe some of you can relate to it 😉
