I’m delighted to announce that I am now part of Cisco Champions! I get to interact with other IT professionals who are absolutely amazing. There’s a list somewhere out there but Cisco is still in the process of finalizing their selection.
We’re passionate! We love teaching, sharing, getting on social media, forums — we’re all over the place! Along with the others, I’ll be contributing to Cisco’s blogs to provide some insight into my experience and from what I’m seeing down here in San Diego, CA. In fact, I am planning and creating new video segments that align with CCNA and CCNP topics. They’ll be posted on YouTube in the near future. This will align itself with being a Cisco Champion.
I’m interested in seeing how feedback will play out. During my phone conversation with Cisco I already began giving some feedback. They were receptive so I feel positive. Being a Cisco Champion, we can help relay feedback from customers, engineers, etc. back to Cisco.
Getting to interact with other professionals of high caliber in my industry and around the blog is very exciting. I’m looking forward to what’s coming and I’m especially grateful to be part of this Cisco program. Personally, this is a big step up for me to be part of a bigger community. It’s not just the internal Cisco community and group but the community of users who are Cisco customers.
I run the San Diego Cisco User Group and really want to improve membership and participation. Being part of Cisco Champions will help me learn how to run a better user group. One of my goals is to help the new IT professionals getting into Cisco and network engineering.
