After reviewing the latest CCNA Security certification guide from Cisco Press, I have decided to take on the exam.
The official cert guide is a really useful book to study for. It has everything you need to tackle the objectives. Of course, I recommend using another resource instead of just one textbook to study for the exam.
That is why I have bought a Cisco ASA 5505 and the CCNA Security lab manual.
Those two additional resources should allow me to pass the exam successfully with good study habits.
Doing hands on lab is on the top of my list and I think I have everything I need. It’s a good thing that CCP is available as a free download because it seems to be very heavy on the exam objectives.
One of the reasons why I decided to take this exam is because Cisco finally added the ASA. I am working more with ASA firewalls so why not get more familiar with them and possible go with the Security certification track.
